Bush camping on the banks of Emu Creek at seven dollars fifty a head, with easy access that takes rigs up to fifteen metres. The wildlife is the great draw, with koalas in the camp, deer in the surrounding bush and birdlife in numbers, though magpies make a nuisance of themselves at meal times. The creek is good for a swim when there is water in it, and stills to something muddy when there is not. Flushing toilets are provided but no showers, no bins, no water and no dump point, and the toilets are not cleaned often; there is only one for the men. Four fire pits serve a capacity of sixty, so bring a portable barbecue. Sites are mostly sloped with few flat spots, and there is no phone coverage. Follow the signs and the main track in rather than a mapping app, which sends people down side trails.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Somerset council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Somerset council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
